LONG TERM WEIGHT LOSS: BE FAT-FREE FOREVER

It is quite normal for most people who have achieved their target weight after undergoing a rigorous exercises and diet regimen to think of long term weight loss. At some point, you will become happy with what you see when you face the mirror and wish that it would stay that way forever. Of course, who wouldn't want to see themselves in great shape especially when most of the clothes that you have fits and looks great on you.
There will come a time when all your exercises will feel boring and routinary for you. Long term weight loss may seem difficult to attain but with discipline and determination, anyone can succeed in keeping a slimmer figure. Below are some tips on how to attain long term weight loss.
1. Know how much you eat. An average person requires at least 2000 calories per day and if you go beyond that, you run the risk of packing on the pounds. In order to lose 1 pound a week, you must cut down 500 calories from your normal diet. 2. Document your progress. Writing your food intake and indicating their corresponding calorie equivalent can help you monitor and determine what next steps you should take.3. Exercise regularly. This will not only make you burn calories but it would also make you fit and strong. It will sustain your goal in achieving long term weight loss. Doing simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator in the office can make you burn to as much as 40 calories.4. Eat moderately. As much as possible, try to refrain from eating too much of salty, sweet and oily food.5. Make sure that you go to the gym to workout at least three to four times a week. Do not skip workouts.6. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water everyday especially before meals. Water can make you feel full, so by the time you start eating, you will feel almost full already. 7. Do not beat yourself down if you do not reach the modelesque figure you always wanted. Not all of us can be supermodels.
Just think of it this way. You have already started to lose weight. Now, it is just a matter of maintaining your figure through long term weight loss. The important thing for you to do is to keep pushing yourself towards your goal. Weight loss does not happen in an instant.
